Current works
The map below shows each project area and the different stages of work.

Works on Memorial Avenue, Mt Roskill
Since late July 2025, our team has been working on Memorial Avenue between May Road and Dominion Road. We have now completed laying the watermain.
Please note, we still have some minor chamber testing and final close out works in this area. These activities require significantly less traffic management than what is currently in place.
Update on our current works on Denny Avenue, Wesley
We have completed laying the watermain on Denny Avenue. You will notice a small presence in 2026 while we finish some small close out jobs.
Denny Avenue/May Road intersection
From early January 2026 until mid-January 2026, we will be completing the final small section of watermain. During this period, Vector will also be undertaking power relocation works.
Traffic management will be in place; however, we will maintain traffic flow in both directions throughout these works
Update on works – La Veta Avenue, Mt Albert
We have now completed construction of all chambers and are currently undertaking minor testing works.
Please note that we will need to return in late January 2026 to carry out final testing.
This work will involve minimal traffic management and is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Update on works – Richardson Road, Mt Albert
We have successfully completed the works on Richardson Road.
Please note that we will need to return in mid-January 2026 for approximately two weeks to carry out the following activities:
- Pipe bridge barrier installation.
- Rock wall installation.
- Power cabinet installation.
During this period, the underpass to Kukuwai Park / Hendon Avenue Reserve will need to be closed for approximately one week.
Final connection and commissioning – coming in 2026
While the watermain installation will be completed this year, we’ll return in May–June 2026 to carry out final connection and commissioning works. These activities will require less traffic management than what’s currently in place.
A reminder that local businesses are still open
A reminder that local businesses in the area are still open. These local businesses would really appreciate your support while we carry out these important works. Rest assured, our crew is working as quickly as possible to finish these works and limit the disruption to the local businesses and the community.
